ADMISSION QUALIFICATIONS AND RULES

(For Post Graduate Classes. 2 Yearly) Rules for Admission in the Post-Graduate Classes.
Criteria Admission in Post- Graduate Classes will be regulated according to the following riles :
Candidates securing 60% marks :
On all India basis provided that a benefit of 5% of total or more marks obtained in the aggregate (marks of subjects considered for awarding division by the University shall be given to residents of Rajasthan.)
Candidates securing less than 60% marks : On all Rajasthan basiss subjects to local benefit as specified in paragraph (a) above.
The following catagories shall not be considered for admission :-
(i) Candidates securing II or III division who are not residents of Rajasthan.
(ii) Candidates securing III division with a gap of two years or more.
(iii) Candidates getting less than 48% marks at the lasst qualifying examination in the Faculty of Science.
Eligibility for Admission to P.G. Classes :
M.Sc. (Prev.) : 48% marks in the aggregate in the qualifying Bachelor's Degree.* B.Sc. in the subjects concerned for the purpose of admission to M.Sc. classes.
(*The qualifying Bachelor's Degree means Degree in the 10+2+3 Pattern of this University or any other University recognised as equivalent to the Bachelor;s degree of this University.)
Determination of Merit :
Admision to the Post - Graduate classes shall be made on the basis of merit which shall be determined as below :
The total marks (both for Theory and Practicals, if applicable) obtained by a candidate at the 1st Year, 2nd Year and 3rd Year examination in the subject in which admission is sought will be added to the aggregate marks obtained by him in all the subjects (which are concerned for awarding a division) and the precentage of marks arrived at accordingly.
Admission will be offered according to the percentage so worked out in a descending order subject to the concession/weightable/ reservation, where applicable. Local Benefit for Candidates of Jai Narain Vyas University :
A benefit of 5% of the total aggregate marks obtained at the Degree examination shall be given to candidate passing their Degree examination from Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur. Candidate who have already Post- Graduate degree may be admitted to another Post-Graduate course on the basis of marks obtained at the degree examination. Drop outs and failure will not be admitted to the same subject. Howeversuch candidates may be considered for admission to other subjects on the basis of their merit at the degree examination. Candidates getting supplementary will not be given admission to Post-Graduate Course (Previous) in the subject in which they have to appear at the supplementary examination, such candidates can, however, be considerd for provisional admission to other subjects, while determining the merit of such candidates the minimum pass marks required to pass in the supplementary examination shall be taken into consideration and the percentage worked out accordingly. Candidates who have already passsed Post-Graduate degree may not be admitted into additional specialisation in the same subject.
